Flexible positioning and actuating drives:

encoTRive from TR Electronic replaces POSMO A from Siemens.

The positioning drives of the EncoTRive product family from TR-Electronic are ideal for a wide range of positioning and actuating tasks. These integrated drive systems offer numerous advantages:

• Product selection: Functionally coordinated drive technology from a single source - electronic, mechanical and control technology. Standardized series and application-specific modifications enable a wide range of drive types, from simple adjustments to high-precision and dynamic positioning tasks.
• Application: Fast and reliably reproducible format adjustment. Used as main or secondary axes in industrial automation - wherever modularity and flexibility are required.
• Control: Standardized interfaces via common fieldbuses and unburdened control through internal positioning algorithms and freely parameterizable telegrams.

The EncoTRive MP-xxx and EncoTRive MA-xxx series are an ideal alternative to the SIMODRIVE POSMO drive from SIEMENS AG, which is no longer available, especially for the drive known as POSMO A 75 W, which has only been available as a spare part since 2017 and has now been finally discontinued.

EncoTRive uses the same gearbox series, ensuring 100% mechanical compatibility. The drives offer lower weight, a more compact design and a wider range of variants:

• Brushless models with 4 power levels (60 to 180 watts)
• Brush models with 3 power levels (55 to 130 watts)
• Interfaces: Profibus DP, Profinet IO, based on PROFIdrive version V3.0

For applications of the larger drive type POSMO A 300 W, TR-Electronic offers the MP-200 and MP-282 series with peak outputs of 350 to 800 watts and interfaces such as Profibus DP, Profinet IO, CANopen and EtherCAT, as well as an optional holding brake.

All drives are designed for positioning operation and have an integrated absolute encoder that only requires referencing once. Alternatively, pure speed operation is also possible.
